Canoe, Climb & Cave

Sunday, July 13 – Friday, July 18  $800

2 Day Paddle Down the Wisconsin River
1 Day Caving
1 Day Climbing
1 Day Noah’s Ark

This trip will be an overload of outdoor adventures. We are setting up a base camp in the beautiful hills of Devil’s Lake State Park. From there, we are heading over to the mighty Wisconsin River for an overnight paddle. We are dropping in at Sauk City, WI and traveling approximately 15 miles to our pull out at Spring Green. Our camp for the night will be on one of the peaceful islands or sandbars we find along the river.

On day three, we will be traveling to Cave of the Mounds where we will be exploring the National Natural Landmark commonly referred to as the "jewel box" of America’s major caves. Cave of the Mounds is recognized by the Chicago Academy of Sciences as "the significant cave of the upper Midwest".

We will then be heading to Devil’s Lake State Park to climb the cliffs overlooking Devil’s Lake. We are going to wake up early and meet our certified instructors who will give us the gear we’ll need for the day. They will teach us different climbing and belaying techniques so that we all can get to the top.

The last day of our trip, we will be tossing aside our canoe paddles and climbing shoes, grabbing our trunks, and traveling over to Noah’s Ark, America’s Largest Water Park. Campers will have the option of spending the day relaxing in the lazy rivers, shooting down one of the many waterslides, or bobbing in the enormous wave pool. This trip will be nonstop outdoor fun, OE style.
